What do you get when you team up a veteran racer and three-time King of the Hammers Champion with the proven raw talent of a respected young-gun racer and heir to the throne? You get one hell of a race team. Introducing, Rock Royalty. Drivers of record? Jason Scherer and Bailey Cole. From the rocky peaks of Johnson Valley and technical wooded trails of Tennessee to the red rocks of Moab and desolate deserts of Baja, Scherer and Cole will join forces for the 2021 off-road racing and events season.

"I am beyond stoked to be partnering with Bailey which allows me to race the entire season as we will both go after another ULTRA4 championship with a collaborative and strategic effort. It’s exciting to know our teams will be working together and all of the experience they bring to the table. The 2021 series schedule is action packed and signals yet another year of growth for the sport. From Moab and Sturgis to Baja, who wouldn’t be excited to check out the new series’ venues that bring both a larger live audience and greater cross-section of fans? That said, I am always happy to take on my favorite short course, “The Big House” Crandon International Raceway. 2021 is going to be one for the record books.” – Jason Scherer

This partnership is much more than just forming a powerhouse race team – one that has close to a thousand years of combined off-road and racing experience from former competitors, engineers and fabricators to systems specialists, truck drivers and marketing personnel. With new opportunities abound for the 2021 season, like Scherer running a new Ford Performance power plant in his 4400 car and Cole coming to the end of his college term at Northern Arizona University and stepping up his shop presence, both are committed in working together to make a run for the ULTRA4Racing National Points Championship. Both drivers have seen national championships before; Scherer in 2016 in the 4400 Unlimited Class and Cole in 2017 and 2019 in the 4800 Legends Class. The combined effort not only benefits these drivers, but the series as a whole. Having Scherer back on the circuit to support the entire ULTRA4 schedule – now including several high-profile events like Sturgis Bike Week and Moab Jeep Week – benefiting his partners, but also providing the sport with yet another top driver that the fans want to see.

The industry will want to follow along with the team’s channels as there is so much more to tell that can’t be revealed just yet. Fans alike will be treated to the high-quality monthly webisodes of Rock Royalty’s efforts exposing behind the scenes views of their KOH prep, tuning, ULTRA4 and Baja racing, fun events, grassroots wheeling trips and more.

“I’m incredibly excited to be partnering with Jason. Our partnership is built on determination, consistency, and experience. Jason brings a lot of experience in off-road motorsports to our team and we match each other in drive and passion. I am looking forward to seeing what these attributes bring to the course in the race for national points next season.” – Bailey Cole

With just over 100 days to the 2021 King of the Hammers, the team is currently focused on dialing in their sponsor partnerships and planning a metric ton of logistics, with few exceptions; Bailey Cole is currently 3rd national points going into the 2020 ULTRA4 National Championship race going down this coming weekend at the 4WP Clash at Crossbar in Davis, OK on Oct 23rd & 24th (Watch Live: www.ultra4racing.com/live). Cole and his side of the team are running on all cylinders to put his #4454 car on the top of the podium, which would be his first 4400 Unlimited class National Points Championship title. In parallel, Scherer is gearing up for another Baja 1000 run in the Ford Performance Bronco-R alongside Cameron Steele this coming November.

Please stay tuned for further team announcements that you won’t want to miss.
